Features:
- This book systematically introduces the analysis methods and applications of hazard analysis for chemical processes. The book is divided into four main parts:
Part 1 introduces analysis methods, including safety review, safety checklists, fault hypothesis analysis, fault hypothesis/checklist analysis, preliminary hazard analysis (PHA), hazard and operability study (HAZOP), cause-consequence analysis, fault tree analysis (FTA), event tree analysis (ETA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and human reliability analysis. Part 2 applies these methods to analyze various stages of a virtual chemical process, from conceptual design to plant decommissioning. Part 3 introduces safety evaluation methods, including the Fire and Explosion Hazard Index (F&EI) method by Dow Chemical Company, the six-stage safety evaluation method for Japanese chemical enterprises, and China's three-stage evaluation method (safety checklist - hazard index evaluation - systems safety analysis). Part 4 is the appendix.
This book is intended for personnel engaged in hazard analysis of chemical processes and can also serve as a reference for faculty and students of safety engineering majors in universities.
