Features: This book is guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, and the Important Thought of "Three Represents." It adheres to the editorial principles of comprehensiveness, novelty, practicality, and precision, upholding the principle of seeking truth from facts. It objectively, comprehensively, systematically, and accurately records the new initiatives, achievements, changes, and trends of Tianjin Post in 2004, showcasing the new people, events, and new features of Tianjin Post. The aim is to provide reliable information for the study and revitalization of Tianjin Post, serving the functions of governance, historical preservation, and education. The book adopts a three-tier structure—categories, subcategories, and entries—based on the professional nature of the postal industry. While maintaining the framework of the previous year, relevant sections have been appropriately adjusted, and a comprehensive statistical bulletin has been added. The book is divided into three main parts: Preface, Encyclopedic Entries, and Postscript. The Preface includes special articles, statistical bulletins, and overviews. The Encyclopedic Entries cover enterprise management, postal business operations and management, industry management, postal network operations, information technology, logistics support, Party and mass work, specialized bureaus (companies), district and county postal offices, research institutes, associations, organizations, individuals, major events, and statistical data. The Postscript includes appendices and an index. The data published in this book are provided by relevant departments and units of Tianjin Post and have been reviewed by leaders to ensure accuracy, serving the purpose of historical preservation and reference. The statistical data are sourced from the Planning and Finance Department of the municipal post office. In cases where statistical data in the text differ from the official statistics, the official statistics take precedence. The titles of leaders in the picture columns, speeches, reports, and important conference and event sections are based on their positions at the time.
