Features: This dictionary contains approximately 5,000 entries, including well-known classic abbreviations in the field of oncology, as well as newly emerging abbreviations reflecting advancements in oncology. The scope of focuses on acronyms composed of initial letters, with particular emphasis on three-letter and longer initial letter combinations, such as CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen) and UICC (Union for International Cancer Control). Due to the low specificity of two-letter and single-letter abbreviations, only a few truly useful entries have been selected. To facilitate reverse clustering searches and browsing in more user-friendly Chinese, a Chinese index section has been specially arranged. Given the uniqueness of journal name abbreviations, they are compiled separately in four appendices, allowing for retrieval in alphabetical order (English), Pinyin order, oncology categories, biomedical categories, impact factor, etc. Basic information such as the founding year, frequency of publication, publication location, and full-text sources in portable document format are also readily available. Additionally, the dictionary extracts 300 common abbreviations and 100 essential abbreviations, serving as a quick reference for young medical professionals and students with limited time and energy.
