A few (especially in the supplementary reading section) are translations from Chinese publications or books. The language, grammar, sentence structures, and other elements in the texts are carefully designed to be easy to understand, progressive in difficulty, and (close to real life and society). The topics are diverse and highly practical, covering various aspects such as social and national conditions, ethnic culture, politics and economy, history and folklore, biographies, China-Myanmar friendship, industry and agriculture, and science and technology. The genres include narrative essays, life prose, folk tales, literary biographies, political commentaries, interviews and reports, and literary poetry, among others. The third and fourth volumes combine both revised and newly selected materials, with a focus on increasing grammar and complex sentence annotations.
