Rijing Middle School is a key middle school in the city with consistently high academic performance, but its sports performance, especially in football, has been average. The school’s football-loving principal has long relied on recruiting special talent students to improve the results, but the effect has not been ideal. This year, the school finally made a significant effort by hiring a football coach, hoping to achieve something.
The protagonists of the story—Xingyu, Yizhi, and Shuqing—are not only neighbors but also classmates who grew up together and share a strong bond. They all study in Class 7-1 at Rijing Middle School, but their personalities are quite different. Xingyu was admitted to the school as a sports talent student with poor academic performance, focusing entirely on football. Due to his (internally recognized) ball skills, he was chosen as the captain of Rijing Middle School’s junior high football team. Yizhi is an annual three-good student (top academic performer) in his grade, favored by both teachers and parents. Shuqing is lively and energetic, serving as the cheerleader for the school’s football team. Wu Fei is known as the school’s handsome boy, with good academic performance and football skills, making him an idol for many female students. However, due to his vastly different football philosophy from Xingyu, he often clashes with him. He Shiyun is skilled in computers and also loves football, often doing data analysis for the team during spare time.
Today, after class, Rijing Middle School will hold a friendly match between Class 9-1 and Class 9-2. Because this is the year’s first (school) match and also a competition between the two most (strong) classes in the school, it attracts a lot of attention. The story unfolds from here.
