Features: "Heaven's favor is not as important as geographical advantage, and geographical advantage is not as important as the unity of people. Those who follow the right path will receive much help, while those who stray from it will receive little. When help is scarce, even relatives and friends will turn against them. When help is abundant, all under heaven will follow them. Wealth and status cannot corrupt, poverty and humility cannot move, and power cannot bend. This is what is called a great man. Learn extensively and explain in detail, so as to return to simplicity. Life is what I desire, and righteousness is what I desire. If I cannot have both, I would rather give up life for righteousness. To believe everything in books is no better than having no books. In Mencius' discourses, there are many similar statements. The purpose of this book is to collect these sayings together for reference today. The 'point of the saying' following each quote is for reference only."
