Features: To help a broad readership and high-tech industry professionals accurately and timely understand the development trends, policies, and regulations of high-tech industries both domestically and internationally, under the guidance of relevant leaders, we have been organizing the publication of the China High-Tech Industry Development Yearbook since 2002. It has already been published in three volumes, and this year we have compiled and organized the China High-Tech Industry Development Yearbook (2002). This volume is divided into seven major sections:
(1) Comprehensive Development: Introduces the development of China's high-tech industry, import and export of high-tech products, and the development of national high-tech industrial development zones in 2004. It analyzes the development of large high-tech enterprises, small and medium-sized high-tech enterprises, venture capital, and other sectors, as well as high-tech industry tax policies.
(2) Industrial Development: Analyzes the development, characteristics, and trends of key high-tech industries in 2004, including the information industry, biotechnology industry, new materials industry, renewable energy industry, software industry, integrated circuit industry, internet industry, digital broadcasting and television industry, and pharmaceutical industry.
(3) Regional Development: Introduces the basic development, characteristics, and development strategies for high-tech industries in 35 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and centrally administered cities in 2004.
(4) Overseas Development: Introduces the overall development of the global high-tech industry and the status of high-tech development worldwide. It covers the development of the global renewable energy industry, global electronic information industry, global software industry, and more, as well as comparative analyses of high-tech industries in Canada and the United States. It also excerpts and translates reports such as the Silicon Valley Development Report from the United States, the US Pharmaceutical Industry Development Report, and the Global Biotechnology Development Report.
(5) Policies and Regulations: Collects important events in the comprehensive development of high-tech industries and in the information industry, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, new materials industry, new energy industry, and aerospace industry in 2004.
(6) Major Events: Collects important events in the comprehensive development of high-tech industries and in the information industry, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, new materials industry, new energy industry, and aerospace industry in 2004.
(7) Basic Data: To facilitate the retrieval of basic data in the high-tech industry, this book includes key economic indicators from the National High-Tech Industry Dynamic Monitoring Information Bulletin published by the National Bureau of Statistics.
