Features: This is a provincial series of map published by the China Map Publishing House, primarily composed of the following four parts:
- Sequence Map Group: Includes maps of administrative divisions, topography, transportation, and tourism.
- City and County Map Group: The main part of the. Each map covers one or more counties, providing detailed information on their administrative divisions, transportation, and tourism, accurately reflecting the distribution of towns and townships after the merger of rural and township administrative divisions in all provinces (regions). - Urban Map Group: Provides a relatively detailed reflection of the streets, transportation, service industries, healthcare, cultural education, finance, telecommunications, and tourism in major cities.
- Tourism Map Group: Reflects the major scenic spots and tourist attractions in each province (region).
This series of map fully adopts the latest results of China's administrative division boundary survey, featuring accurate provincial boundaries, rich map content, and providing high-quality services to readers in the form of one map per province (region).
Shaanxi Province is located in the central inland of China, with the Geodetic Prime Meridian of the People's Republic of China situated within its Jingyang County. The province extends 1,000 kilometers from north to south and 360 kilometers from east to west, divided into three major natural regions from north to south: the northern Shaanxi Plateau, the Guanzhong Plain, and the Qinling Mountains. The total land area is 205,600 square kilometers.
Shaanxi spans three climate zones from north to south: temperate, warm temperate, and northern subtropical. The average temperature is between 8°C and 16°C, with an annual precipitation of 300-700 millimeters, and the frost-free period generally ranges from 150 to 270 days.
The total population of Shaanxi Province is 35.701 million, with a population density of 174 people per square kilometer. The natural growth rate of the population in 1997 was 0.76%. The Han Chinese account for 99.4% of the population.

Forest and Mineral Resources:
Minerals include coal, iron, manganese, copper, aluminum, molybdenum, lead, zinc, gold, phosphorus, petroleum, graphite, asbestos, talc, potassium feldspar, and natural soda. Timber tree species include pine, fir, oak, and birch. The timber stock in the Qinling Mountains accounts for 80% of the province's total.
Major Cities:
- Xi'an: The provincial capital, an ancient city, and the largest comprehensive industrial city in northwest China.
- Baoji: A transportation hub connecting Shaanxi, Gansu, and Sichuan, and one of the emerging industrial bases in the province.
- Yan'an: A revolutionary site in China and an emerging industrial city.
- Xianyang: An ancient cultural city in the Guanzhong region and one of the industrial centers.
Scenic Spots and Historical Sites:
- Shaanxi Museum and Banpo Museum: Located in the city center and the eastern suburbs of Xi'an, respectively.
- Shaanxi Museum exhibits historical artifacts from the Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui, and Tang dynasties spanning over 1,000 years, preserving more than 70 famous stone art works and over 1,700 steles from the Stele Forest.
- Banpo Museum preserves the ruins of a Neolithic village in China, with an existing area of approximately 50,000 square meters, divided into residential, pottery-making, and burial areas. It is an important site of the Yangshao culture, dating back 6,000 to 7,000 years.
- Xi'an Bell Tower and Drum Tower, and the Big and Small Wild Goose Pagodas: Located in the city center and the southern suburbs of Xi'an, respectively.
- The Bell Tower and Drum Tower are Ming Dynasty relics, over 30 meters high, with rich ethnic architectural styles.
- The Big and Small Wild Goose Pagodas are Tang Dynasty structures, located within the Da Ci'en Temple and Daxianfu Temple, respectively.
- Cuihua Mountain, Li Mountain, Mount Hua, and the "Lantian Man" Site:
- Cuihua Mountain, located in Chang'an County, is a summer resort and tourist destination.
- Li Mountain, in Lintong County, features ancient sites such as the Beacon Tower and Changsheng Palace, with the famous Huaqing Pool hot spring at its foot.
- Mount Hua, located about 20 kilometers south of Huayin County, is one of China's famous mountains, with its peaks, cliffs, springs, and waterfalls attracting visitors. It has been a tourist destination in the Guanzhong region since ancient times.
- Lantian County in the southeastern part of Xi'an has the fossil site of the "Lantian Man," a hominid dating back approximately 600,000 years.
- Liqiu Zhaoling, Qian County Qianling, Xingping Maoling, Lintong Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, and Huangling Huangdi Ling:
- These are the mausoleums of emperors such as Emperor Taizong of Tang, Emperor Gaozong of Tang, Wu Zetian, Emperor Wu of Han, Qin Shi Huang, and the Yellow Emperor.
- Museums such as the Zhaoling Museum and the Terracotta Army Museum of the Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum are nearby.
- Mian County Zhuge Liang Mausoleum: Features an offering hall, a mound, and a resting hall.
