Features: This standard was revised from HG/T 2841-1997 "Aminotrisodium Phosphinate for Water Treatment Agent." The main differences between this standard and HG/T 2841-1997 are:

- The classification of grades in the original standard was removed;
- The calcium chelating value indicator in the original standard was removed;
- The pH range "1.5-2.5" was changed to "≤2.0";
- The aminotrisodium phosphinate content indicator was added;
- The iron content indicator was added.
This standard replaces HG/T 2841-1997 upon implementation.
This standard was proposed by the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association of the People's Republic of China.
The responsible drafting units of this standard are: Henan Jiyuan Qingyuan Water Treatment Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Jianghai Chemical Co., Ltd., and Tianjin Chemical Research and Design Institute.
