Author: Jin Xiaoda
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-03-01
Features: This book is a teacher's guide companion to the "Illustrated Diagrams for Teaching Mandarin Chinese Pronunciation." The "Illustrated Diagrams for Teaching Mandarin Chinese Pronunciation" is not a textbook; it presents knowledge points in the form of a poster. This book is also written in the same format. To facilitate teachers' lesson preparation and reference, to accurately explain pronunciation key points, and to scientifically guide students in pronunciation, each "knowledge point" in this book consists of two parts: on the left is the poster, identical to the "Illustrated Diagrams for Teaching Mandarin Chinese Pronunciation"; on the right is the "Teaching Essentials." The "knowledge points" in pronunciation teaching are both interconnected and relatively independent. This book is a teacher's guide companion to the "Illustrated Diagrams for Teaching Mandarin Chinese Pronunciation." With the rapid development of the promotion of Mandarin Chinese and the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the teacher corps has also been expanding rapidly. Although the vast majority of Chinese teachers can speak standard Mandarin, they often do not know how to guide students to learn effectively. A Chinese person can easily judge whether a foreigner's Mandarin is standard, just as we can easily determine if someone has a cold. However, as a Chinese teacher, one cannot simply judge whether a student's initials, finals, tones, and intonation are correct; they must accurately identify where the mistakes are and how to correct them, much like a doctor diagnosing what type of cold someone has and prescribing the right medicine and treatment. This is also a fundamental skill for a language teacher. As experienced teachers who have long been engaged in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, we have written this book based on our teaching experience, striving to make the text as accessible as possible, as a "welcome gift" to all new teachers. The "Illustrated Diagrams for Teaching Mandarin Chinese Pronunciation" is not a textbook; it presents knowledge points in the form of a poster, and this book is also written in the same format. Due to space limitations, the "Teaching Essentials" section cannot provide a comprehensive and systematic explanation, resulting in some parts being disorganized, repetitive, or "not yet fully expressed."
