Patient's question:
After the last three months of heavy traffic, I'm pregnant again now, but I still don't want a child. I haven't gone to the hospital for a thorough check-up yet and plan to do so in a couple of days. Recently, I've occasionally experienced mild lower abdominal pain, but it's not severe—similar to the pain during my monthly period. My breasts are also swollen and sore. There's no vaginal bleeding, and I want to ask if it could be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy.Doctor's answer:
Ectopic pregnancy may typically present with symptoms such as recurrent abdominal pain, missed periods, and vaginal bleeding. Based solely on these symptoms, it is not sufficient to conclude that it is an ectopic pregnancy. Additionally, I do not know when your last menstrual period was. Generally, after about 5 or 6 weeks of pregnancy, a color Doppler ultrasound can be performed to confirm whether it is an ectopic pregnancy or an intrauterine early pregnancy.
