Some chapters of the novel have been adapted into a film script and directed by graduates of the 2005 class of the Directing Department at Oakland UNITEC National Film Institute as their graduation project. The Cursed Oath will be published in Taiwan by Yunzhi Cultural Company in March 2006. The English version of The Cursed Oath will also be published in New Zealand. Readers of this novel are all impressed by Xie Hang's talent for structuring stories and crafting plots. His language is simple and natural, with vivid descriptions of characters and settings that give readers a strong sense of watching a movie while reading the text. The language, narrative style, and the vast knowledge embedded in this novel make it hard to believe that the creator is only 22 years old.
