Patient's question:
Ovarian chocolate cyst 4.28/3.43 is serious?Doctor's answer:
(1) Young women with a history of secondary progressive dysmenorrhea and infertility, or menstrual disorders,。(2) Gynecological examination: In cases where the lesion is located in the pouch of Douglas, irregular nodular elevations of varying sizes can be palpated, with significant tenderness, and thickening and tenderness of the uterosacral ligaments. In cases of ectopic ovaries, fixed cystic masses may be palpated in one or both sides of the pelvis, with or without tenderness. When lesions are present in the vagina or cervix, purple-brown spots or nodules, or small areas of bleeding, can be seen beneath the mucosa. The uterus is often fixed in a retroverted position.
(3) Laparoscopic examination reveals purple-brown spots or vesicles, or purple-blue solid nodules or masses, in the ovary, around the fallopian tubes, at the uterosacral ligaments, on the surface of the sigmoid colon, on the pelvic peritoneum, or in the pouch of Douglas. Biopsy results confirm endometriosis.
