Features: In recent years, the Chinese academic community has made tremendous efforts in translating and introducing the works and thoughts of Western academic masters. This phenomenon contrasts sharply with the ignorance and arrogance of some Westerners toward Eastern culture. However, once the urgency with which the Chinese seek to understand Western academic culture is affected by a short-sighted andistic societal mindset, the quality of their translation and introduction work declines significantly. As a result, some people swallow Western academic works whole, while others interpret Western academic thoughts based solely on their literal meanings. The importance of a communication studies perspective can also be understood and applied more broadly in our academic research. For a long time, people have often discussed the history of academia or the history of thought in a static, non-communication studies manner. That is to say, people naturally start from their current understanding rather than from the actual communication conditions of the constitutive factors of the research object—textual communication—to describe the history of academia or thought. This greatly reduces the credibility of various works on the history of academia or thought.
