47 days without yolk sac - what does it mean?

Patient's question:

47 days without yolk sac what does it mean

Doctor's answer:

It is possible that the yolk sac is not visible on ultrasound. A 14x24 mm double-ring hypoechogenic area is a gestational sac. The deepest free fluidic dark area of about 13mm is a small amount of pelvic effusion, which can be ignored as it won't affect anything, so you don't need to worry. Currently, the ultrasound shows everything is normal. You should have a follow-up ultrasound in one week, and you should be able to see the yolk sac, embryo, and fetal heartbeat.
