Lao Xu's Blog

Author: Xu Jinglei

Publish Date: 2006-03-01
Features: Millions of clicks, the hottest blog, a real Xu Jinglei. She writes about her reading experiences with vivid detail, narrates the sweet encounters of a couple in the cinema, lists her painful experiences learning a foreign language, takes photos of her dinner with a mobile phone, and describes a taxi driver who keeps grasshoppers in his car. The words are simple yet elegant, gently revealing the authentic Xu Jinglei. Perhaps, just as Xu said after her blog won the Best Director Award: "I see it as encouragement for young people like us to dare to try and take things seriously." For the public who has watched her direct and star in two consecutive films, she has become an undeniable representative of contemporary self-reliant women.
