More than a year into the marriage, I haven't gotten pregnant yet. Do I need to get checked?

Patient's question:

Patient Age: 24
Detailed Medical Condition and Purpose of Consultation: I previously had irregular menstruation, sometimes only coming every two months, and abnormal white discharge with a yellow color and a bad odor, but it has been treated and resolved! Why am I still unable to conceive? Do I need to be tested? What tests should I have?
Current General Condition: My menstruation is now normal, but recently, I have noticed some white,-like discharge in my vagina with no odor and no itching (should I be treated for this?)
Medical History: None
Previous Diagnoses, Treatments, and Outcomes: The doctor prescribed some fertility-enhancing Western medicine, but it had no effect. I have recently started taking traditional Chinese medicine, but I have colitis, and I have now stopped.

Doctor's answer:

You can have sexual intercourse during ovulation. A woman's ovulation period is around the 14th day before her menstrual period. Sexual intercourse during ovulation increases the chances of conception. It is recommended to avoid sexual activity 5 days before ovulation to ensure the quality of sperm. Have sexual intercourse every other day during ovulation, and place a pillow under the woman's buttocks after each intercourse to increase the chances of conception. If it is still difficult to conceive, both partners should refrain from sexual activity for three to five days and then visit the hospital for examination.
For the man: Semen analysis.
For the woman: Six hormone tests and ultrasound.
It is recommended that you and your partner go to a regular hospital for a comprehensive and systematic examination to identify the cause of infertility and receive targeted treatment.
