Patient's question:
Menstruation arrived 10 days early. It has never been this early before; it used to be delayed. In the past two months, it has arrived early, accompanied by menstrual cramps, dizziness, nausea, and very little menstrual flow. Previously, I rarely got acne on my face, but this month I have gotten a lot of it.Past treatment history and effectiveness: I have never had time to go to the hospital.
Help needed: I want to ask the doctor what is going on and how I should adjust my lifestyle. Thank you.
Doctor's answer:
It is likely that there is an endocrine disorder, which has led to early menstruation and the appearance of acne. First, you can undergo a hormone panel test to check the endocrine system. Then, you may need to use Dian or Bromocriptine for regulation. Early menstruation refers to a menstrual cycle that is shorter than 21 days. If it occurs for more than two consecutive cycles, it is classified as ovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB) with a biphasic basal body temperature. This may involve a short follicular phase of only 7-8 days, a luteal phase shorter than 10 days, or a basal body temperature rise of less than 0.5°C. If there are no issues with your menstrual cycle, it is recommended that you undergo a gynecological examination.
