How to deal with lochia not being clean after cesarean section

Patient's question:

Medical Description: I had a cesarean section on July 3rd, and it has been 42 days now, but I have been experiencing bloody lochia without significant amount. The day before yesterday, I had an ultrasound done at the hospital, which showed no abnormalities in the uterus but a 2624 dark area in the left adnexa. What should I do? I am very anxious and can't sleep every day due to this.
History of Treatment and Effects: I took traditional Chinese medicine for five days here and also took Gonghuan Yangxue Granules as a supplement.
Help Needed: Should I continue taking traditional Chinese medicine and Gonghuan Yangxue Granules? What should I do? Do I need to get an uterine contraction injection?

Doctor's answer:

Generally speaking, postpartum lochia usually completely discharges within twenty days under normal circumstances. Postpartum lochia after cesarean section tends to last a bit longer than that of vaginal delivery, but it is generally around three weeks. Some postpartum women may have lochia lasting beyond this time, with prolonged intermittent discharge, which is known as lochia prolongata.
For qi deficiency-type lochia prolongata, traditional Chinese medicine primarily uses Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang to achieve the effect of tonifying qi and stopping bleeding. For blood heat-type lochia prolongata, TCM mainly employs Bao Yin Jian, a traditional Chinese herbal formula, to clear heat, stop bleeding, and nourish yin. For external cold-type lochia prolongata, TCM uses Sheng Hua Tang to promote blood circulation and resolve blood stasis, thereby effectively treating postpartum lochia prolongata.
