What should I do about the cystic mass in the right adnexal area?

Patient's question:

Uterine size 3cm, gestational sac size 7cm, no fetal pole observed. Cystic mass in the right adnexal region, size 9cm, with septations and a few fine punctate echoes.
Past treatment history and effectiveness: Previously undiagnosed.
Desired help: Please help the doctor analyze and explain. What is the cyst, and is it serious? I am very grateful. But is a size of 9cm serious? Is it not a tumor? Could it be pregnancy-related tumor?......

Doctor's answer:

Ovarian cysts come in many different types. Common ones include teratomas, serous and mucinous cystadenomas, and simple cysts. These are all benign tumors. Of course, there are also malignant cysts, but malignant ones usually have solid areas inside. If the inner wall has a papillary structure, these can be seen on ultrasound. So, if your cyst doesn't have these solid areas or papillary structures, it's more likely to be benign. Since you're already pregnant, it's best to have the baby first and then have surgery to treat the cyst. However, you should have regular check-ups for the tumor. If it's found to be growing rapidly, surgery to treat the cyst should be considered first.
