Features: To help a wide range of candidates quickly improve their exam-taking skills and scores, we have developed this "Happy Entrance Exam" English series of books based on the requirements of the "2006 National Master's Entrance Examination English Syllabus (Non-English Major)" announced by the Ministry of Education. This series is grounded in "practicality" and driven by the spirit of "happiness," drawing on the best of various study plans. This book, "Diverse Approaches to Mastering Syllabus Vocabulary," is co-authored by a team of experienced, middle-aged, and young experts from renowned universities such as Tsinghua University and Capital Normal University. Its authority and guidance make it an invaluable reference or tool for candidates preparing for the entrance exam. The term "diverse approaches" refers to the flexible and varied learning methods that embody the philosophy of "Happy Entrance Exam."
After each vocabulary entry, we provide classic example sentences to illustrate the basic meaning of the word and its nuances in the context of the postgraduate entrance exam. We also introduce a series of related vocabulary based on a single word, such as synonyms, antonyms, words with the same root, easily confused words, and their distinctions. To help candidates better memorize vocabulary, we adopt a "learn while practicing" approach to increase the quantity of memorized words and extend the duration of retention. At the end of the book, we have included an appendix that covers: common prefixes and suffixes, a list of some countries, languages, nationalities, and their adjectives, continent names and common abbreviations, as well as extended knowledge to help candidates achieve high scores in the English entrance exam.
