Features: Take it back, this book will change your life. The early prototype of the Kuihua Series for the Judicial Examination was the "Outline of the National Lawyer Qualification Examination" co-authored by Professors Fu Ying and Wang Feng. It was internally printed in Beijing from 1997 to 2000 and was wildly popular among candidates in the capital. Due to strong demand from candidates, it was officially published in 2003. Later, the two professors personally edited and revised it, leading to multiple reprints. The Kuihua Series for the Judicial Examination is guided by a scientific layout and is a set of books suitable for both the judicial examination and guiding judicial practice. The core motivation behind the writing of this series by Professors Fu Ying and Wang Feng was to demonstrate the rigor and practicality of their works and enhance the effectiveness of the material in preparing for the exam. From the main content arrangement to the design of the format and the aesthetic cover style, the book is loved by candidates and imitated by many publishers. One of the series, "Advanced Course for the National Judicial Examination," though named a "course," features an innovative layout and a wealth of knowledge that surpasses ordinary exam preparation books. Its professionalism is sufficient to serve as a college-level law textbook. If students study this book diligently, accumulate knowledge, and not only master the judicial exam but also lay a solid professional foundation for future legal careers, because the book subtly conveys the invaluable legal thinking of a legal professional through its unique structure, narrative, and reasoning methods. Some students complain that the series is too heavy and difficult to handle. However, it must be noted that the difficulty of the judicial exam has been increasing year by year and is no longer the same as the lawyer qualification exam years ago. Under such circumstances, it is impossible to pass the exam through short-term cramming. If students do not put in hard work and rely solely on finding a book that highlights "essentials" or "key points" to pass the exam in a short time, they are heading down the wrong path. The two professors did not cater to or encourage such a wrong mindset but continued to dedicate their efforts with a scientific and pragmatic attitude. Although the Kuihua Series is called the "Kuihua Treasure," it contains no shortcuts. "Advanced Course for the National Judicial Examination" includes: Civil Law, Criminal Law, the People's Court Procedure Law and Arbitration Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure Law, International Law · Private International Law · International Economic Law, Commercial Law and Economic Law, Jurisprudence · Legal History · Constitution · Legal Ethics (eight books in total). It is organized according to the National Judicial Examination syllabus and based on laws, regulations, and. The content follows academic consensus and creatively divides each subject chapter into four levels:
Level 1: Key Points Summary—Lists the relatively important points of the section. The precision of the Key Points Summary lies in directly targeting the section's focus, using simple language to clarify the intrinsic logic of law, and creating a complete learning framework. It helps students understand what knowledge to absorb to fill this framework and turn it into a firmly memorized knowledge system. Without this level, jumping directly into "key points" would be ineffective, which is precisely the significance of the Key Points Summary.
Level 2: Related Laws and Regulations—Gathers important laws and regulations that may be tested, arranged scientifically for easy association. This level organizes laws and regulations related to the section by importance, based on key points. The cited laws and regulations include those that can be found in general "Judicial Examination Laws and Regulations Compilation" but also those not mentioned there but crucial for solving special problems and understanding legislative intent, such as "Supreme People's Court Approvals" and "Supreme People's Court Letters." Collecting comprehensive laws, regulations, and important "approvals" and "letters" is a monumental task. Most judicial exam preparation books only reference the "Judicial Examination Laws and Regulations Compilation" and ignore equally important or more easily understandable and widely used "approvals" and "letters." Professors Fu Ying and Wang Feng keenly recognized the importance of this content. Additionally, under a specific legal system, in addition to relevant laws and regulations, laws and regulations from closely related, easily confused, or potentially exam-related systems are also fully addressed, allowing students to compare, generalize, and interconnect important knowledge for more effective study. These efforts make the "Related Laws and Regulations" level more comprehensive and richer than ordinary "Key Laws and Regulations" books while being far more concise than general "Laws and Regulations Compilations." It can fully replace both "Key Laws and Regulations" and "Laws and Regulations Compilations."
Level 3: Commentary on Laws and Regulations—Interprets the relevant laws and regulations of the section. Based on the content of the related laws and regulations above, authoritative discussions comprehensively explain the true meaning of the laws and regulations, avoiding misunderstandings and dead ends in learning. At the same time, it highlights easily confused and error-prone areas by connecting relevant provisions, enabling students not only to memorize the law's provisions but also to understand its essence. Memorizing and applying laws with understanding—how could this not be victorious?
Level 4: Solving the Mystery of the Section—Fully understands the legislative intent and the examiner's reasoning, further clarifying the connections and applications between laws and regulations. This is the most valuable part of the series. For each section, it distills key points, analyzes examination directions, explains why questions are posed from this angle, and provides effective study methods. It ensures that all related knowledge points and easily overlooked but important ones are covered while studying. All these are discussed in depth in the book. Additionally, "Points to Note" in bold type are included to clearly indicate easily misunderstood, overlooked, or confused content in the knowledge points.
Beyond fully absorbing the strengths of other judicial exam books and avoiding pitfalls, Professors Fu Ying and Wang Feng also broke new ground in language organization and narrative style, using plain yet clear language to explain complex legal issues. Their ability is truly remarkable, allowing students who have read the series to realize that law is not as obscure as commonly perceived but a sacred field filled with wisdom, mission, and allure.
