Vaginal bleeding. Tested hCG 106, is this ectopic pregnancy?

Patient's question:

On the 18th, I had vaginal bleeding and tested hCG at 106. Progesterone was 0.96, indicating pregnancy. However, on the 16th, I took emergency contraception for 72 hours, and I've been experiencing some spotting and blood clots since then. Today, I tested hCG again at 145.1. What should I do? I don't want the baby. Could it be an ectopic pregnancy?

Doctor's answer:

According to your description, the possibility of ectopic pregnancy cannot be ruled out in your case. It is recommended that you go to a regular public hospital for a careful examination of the uterus with a B or color Doppler ultrasound when you have a 40-day menstrual delay. If a gestational sac echo is observed within the uterine cavity, the possibility of ectopic pregnancy can be ruled out. If it is not visible in the uterine cavity, it may be ectopic pregnancy, and timely treatment and management will be required at this point.
