The theory of Yin-Yang and Five Elements is the highest level of TCM theory. In 2,400 years, besides Zhang Zhongjing of the Eastern Han Dynasty, no one else has made great contributions to this level. — Li Yangbo
This book is divided into two parts: the first part is the main text, consisting of five lectures by Mr. Li Yangbo on Yin-Yang and Five Elements; the second part is the appendix, including an outline of Yin-Yang and Five Elements, some letters, and clinical insights.
Li Yangbo, styled Bagua, was born in 1947 and passed away in 1991. He was from Pingnan, Guangxi. His father was a renowned TCM practitioner. From a young age, he studied in the city and was an outstanding student in the "Old Third Batch" senior class of Nanning No. 3 High School. Due to the Cultural Revolution, he missed the opportunity to attend university and instead devoted himself to self-studying TCM day and night, immersing himself in the classics of Qihuang (Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon and the Canon of Difficult Issues). He was taught healing arts by many extraordinary masters. In 1982, he graduated from Nanning Part-Time TCM College. During his lifetime, he dedicated himself to the systematic study and modern application of medicine, the I Ching, and Taoism, while also extensively exploring traditional classics, history, philosophy, and poetry. From these studies, he creatively extracted important philosophical viewpoints on cosmic biology and cosmic sociology. In 1983, he taught numerous disciples at "Yi-Yi-Dao Yin-Yang Art Teaching Studio of Yin-Qian."
