Listening is a crucial component of language learning, but due to the scarcity of Korean listening materials in China, both teachers and students face numerous challenges. With the aim of providing listening materials for university Korean teaching and Korean learners in the general public, several teachers from Shandong University who specialize in Korean teaching and research have jointly compiled this Korean Listening Course based on years of teaching and textbook writing experience. The Korean Listening Course consists of four volumes: Beginner Course I, Beginner Course II, Intermediate Course I, and Intermediate Course II. The content covers Korean society, history, culture, customs, and more. Each volume contains 18 lessons: 15 lessons with texts and exercises, plus 3 unit tests. Each lesson generally consists of 4-7 related short passages or dialogues. Each lesson includes 7-11 exercises, meaning each passage is accompanied by 1-2 exercises. Exercises are designed to check your understanding of the lesson content. Some lessons in the beginner volumes also include several Korean folk songs, allowing students to learn Korean in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere while also learning about and appreciating Korean songs. The beginner course focuses on basic and practical daily-life content.
