Features: This textbook is designed for peers engaged in vocal teaching, as well as students and enthusiasts learning ethnic vocal music. During the publication process of this textbook, the People's Music Publishing House undertook significant efforts. Some new works were even arranged with piano accompaniments by composers from the Central Conservatory of Music, the China Conservatory of Music, and the Music Department of the Central University for Nationalities. Establishing a set of Chinese ethnic vocal music textbooks that embody national identity, artistic quality, modernity, and systematicity is a noble mission and responsibility for all ethnic vocal music professionals. Moving forward, we will do our utmost to create conditions and continue to compile textbooks in various forms, with particular emphasis on the development of new textbooks. Attention will be paid to aligning classroom teaching materials with practical performance repertoire, ensuring that students seamlessly integrate classroom learning with artistic practice.
The Chinese Ethnic Vocal Music Textbook is divided into three volumes and mainly includes: classical Chinese poetry songs, traditional folk songs, adapted folk songs, original compositions, selections from Chinese operas, and film and television theme songs. This book compiles piano accompaniment scores for songs such as Chang Xiang Zhi, Nao Xiao Yue, Qin Shen Yi Chang, Xiang Taiyang, Shuo Jue Xin Li Hu, Xiao Bai Yang, and Bai Fan. These pieces are available for peers engaged in ethnic vocal music teaching, as well as for students and enthusiasts learning the genre. They serve as a reference for teaching and performance, with the goal of better promoting instruction, facilitating mutual exchange, continuous improvement, and collective advancement.
