What is the reason for menstruation lasting more than ten days after a crowd?

Patient's question:

I have an itchy lower body, and my underwear is always yellow. What's going on? Also, what's the reason for having menstruation for more than ten days after an abortion?

Doctor's answer:

Women experience lochia for about half a month after childbirth. It's normal for you to still have bleeding after 10 days. After the lochia clears, go to the gynecology department of the hospital for a follow-up check to see if the miscarriage is complete.
During the late stages of pregnancy, pregnant women should pay attention to the following:
1. Relief in the abdomen – For first-time mothers, 1–2 weeks before delivery, as the fetal presenting part descends into the pelvis and the uterine base lowers, they often feel the upper abdomen is more comfortable, breathing is easier, and appetite increases. However, due to the presenting part pressing on pelvic organs like the bladder and rectum, they may feel lower abdominal heaviness, frequent urination, and lower back pain.
2. False labor contractions – 1–2 weeks before delivery, pregnant women often experience irregular uterine contractions. Compared to contractions during actual labor, these have the following characteristics: short duration, long intervals, and irregularity. The contractions do not intensify, only cause mild discomfort in the lower abdomen, and do not dilate the cervix. Small doses of sedatives can suppress these "false contractions."
3. Bloody show – 24–48 hours before delivery, some blood-tinged discharge may flow from the vagina.
