Features: In the 21st century, the continuous emergence of new formulations and dosage forms, along with the significant development of traditional Chinese medicine dosage forms, has led to the widespread clinical application of high-tech products such as sustained-release, controlled-release, and targeted drug delivery systems. To ensure the safety and efficacy of drug formulations during treatment, scientific and rational use is key. To meet clinical requirements and enable pharmacists to play their role in safe, effective, economical, and rational drug use, there is an urgent need for a reference book that meets the needs of pharmacists, especially hospital pharmacists. For this purpose, we have compiled this "Practical Pharmaceutics" based on traditional pharmaceutics. This book briefly introduces the general theory of formulation preparation and, in line with clinical medication practices, classifies dosage forms according to administration routes (sites), methods, and types. The main content includes the anatomical and physiological characteristics of administration sites, the mechanisms and influencing factors of drug absorption, the concepts, preparation methods, quality requirements, and examples of various dosage forms, as well as general usage methods and precautions for each type. This book can serve as a reference for pharmacist training and is also suitable for clinical physicians and nurses.
