Patient's question:
I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried it might affect fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. Could you please tell me what fetal movement feels like at four months of pregnancy?Doctor's answer:
Generally, pregnant women can feel fetal movement around weeks 15 to 20 of pregnancy. The peak of fetal movement occurs between weeks 28 to 32, and it gradually decreases after week 38. Pregnant women should start monitoring fetal movement from week 28. Measure it once in the morning, once at noon, and once in the evening, with each measurement lasting for 1 hour. Pregnant women can choose to sit or lie on their side, placing their hands gently on their abdomen to feel the fetal movement. Normal fetal movement is approximately 3 to 5 times per hour. If you are measuring fetal movement on your own, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for an ultrasound monitoring, as the results are more accurate.
