Features: As a form of ancient poetry, the ci has its unique characteristics. In the late Northern Song Dynasty, the female poet Li Qingzhao wrote "On Ci," in which she proposed the slogan that the ci "is a separate family." Since then, generations of ci scholars have discussed this issue, covering various aspects such as the themes, techniques, language, tonal patterns, styles, and artistic connotations of the ci, but there has been a lack of comprehensive and systematic thinking. This paper attempts to follow the principle of "seeking truth from facts," starting with the nouns of the ci, exploring their meanings, tracing their origins, and thereby grasping some of their essential qualities.
