Patient's question:
I got married last year. Recently, I've been experiencing lower abdominal pain, especially during my period. I'm very worried about it affecting my fertility, and I'm also extremely sensitive to cold and coldness. Could you please tell me if two red lines on the LH ovulation test strips indicate ovulation?Doctor's answer:
The ovulation test strip determines whether ovulation occurs by testing the level of LH in the urine. During a woman's menstrual cycle, the changes in LH hormone levels are reflected on the test strip. On a safe period ovulation test strip, it will be negative. As ovulation approaches, it will change from weak positive to positive and then to strong positive. After reaching the peak, ovulation typically occurs about 16.5 hours later on average. After the peak, the LH hormone levels drop rapidly, and the test strip will show weak positive, then gradually turn negative.
