Features: I can't remember how many times I and my friends have reminisced about the childhood of our generation, recalling the various interesting events, objects, and joys of the past, as well as that full sense of life. With regret over the experiences that no longer exist in the passage of time, a painful sense of detachment from the past arises. In recent years, books with titles starting with "old" or "antique" have suddenly become popular, forming a very thought-provoking cultural phenomenon of the late 20th century. However, it is a pity that most of these books merely mechanically record the solid, inorganic forms of old objects, while neglecting the vibrant, infinitely rich human life and spirit behind them. They overlook the harmonious and peaceful sense of life and attitude toward life that people of the past had in their interactions with nature. They also neglect to explore what aspects of life—such as precious feelings, emotions, and activities—have been stripped away from us as time passes. Based on these thoughts, I have always hoped for a series of books that would elevate the foundation of previous publications, serving as a vessel for our generation's nostalgia and longing for the beautiful things of the agricultural era, while also drawing inspiration and strength for life from them. This book is a collection of essays, including topics such as stone carving; jade carving; pottery sculpture; porcelain engraving; clay sculpture; metal sculpture; wood carving; root carving, etc.
