Features: The Zhi Yong Zhen Cao Qian Zi Wen was written by Zhou Xingsi during the Southern Dynasties period under Emperor Wu of the Liang Dynasty and is a single of Zhen Cao and Cao styles by Zhi Yong. It is an old Ming-era rubbing preserved by Liang Qichao, with heavy ink rubbing, carved and mounted in album pages, with a camphorwood cover, totaling twenty-seven leaves. Each leaf measures 30.5 cm in height and 19.5 cm in width, with the inner frame measuring 23.5 cm in height and 12.5 cm in width. The label is in Liang Qichao's regular script, inscribed with "Old Rubbing of Zhen Cao Qian Zi Wen from Yinbing Studio."
The rubbing of the Zhi Yong Zhen Cao Qian Zi Wen is considered the best among the Song Dynasty Daguan edition, also known as the Guanzhong Edition (). This copy lacks the long postscript by Xue Sichang. The early Daguan edition from the Song Dynasty is not known to have survived in circulation, while the Southern Song Dynasty rubbings are also held by the Palace Museum in Beijing. This album was collected by Xiang Yuanbing during the Ming Dynasty, later acquired by Sun Chengze in the early Qing Dynasty, and then by Zhuang Jindu for preservation. By the late Qing Dynasty, it entered the collection of Liang Qichao's Yinbing Studio and was finally donated to the National Library.
When the album was remounted, the names of the original engravers were lost at the end of the. The back of the bears four calligraphic inscriptions by Zhuang Jindu in ink. The front of the is stamped with such as "Xiang Molin's Secret Treasury Seal."
