Patient's question:
I am very scared when this happens. I often have lower abdominal pain and don't know how to solve it, so I came here to consult. Is it normal to have 3.6 oz of oxygen at four and a half months of pregnancy?Doctor's answer:
In normal pregnancy, the amniotic fluid volume ranges from 500 to 2000 ml. It exists within the amniotic cavity, surrounding the fetus, and appears as anechoic. After 35 weeks of gestation, granular echoes or fine short bands may be present in the amniotic fluid. During measurement, the maximum depth of the amniotic fluid can be measured, or the sum of the depths from four quadrants can be obtained to calculate the amniotic fluid index. The normal range for the depth of an amniotic pool is 3.0 to 8.0 cm. The normal range for the amniotic fluid index is 5.0 to 20.0 cm. The latter is currently more commonly used.
