Countless calligraphy masters have come to the Lin family seeking brushes and formed lifelong friendships with them. Artists such as Zhang Daqian, Yu Youren, Fu Xinyu, Li Putong, Xie Zong'an, Zhu Jiuying, Li Kemei, and Gao Yihong were all regular visitors to Wenlin Tang at the time.
