Features: With the continuous deepening of reform and opening-up and China's accession to the WTO, international exchanges in our country have become increasingly frequent. The demand for English speaking talents in society has grown larger and the requirements have become higher. In November 1999, the Ministry of Education officially approved the nationwide implementation of the College English Speaking Test, meeting this demand and playing a role in promoting the practical improvement of college students' English speaking skills. The purpose of writing this book is to cultivate students' interest and enthusiasm for learning English through diverse classroom exercises, create an active and lively practice atmosphere, and quickly enhance their English communicative competence. This book is a result of the long-term accumulation of oral English teaching experience by the authors. In the writing process, we strive to closely align with the teaching requirements of college English, address the characteristics of large-class teaching in college English, and design activities that are concise and refined, flexible yet orderly. Some activities have already been used in teaching and have proven effective.
