I had the privilege of participating in parliamentary exchange activities led by Comrade Zeng Jianhui and am now a reader of his book "Parliamentary Diplomacy—Exchanges and Confrontations." After reading it, I found it deeply beneficial. The book collects key excerpts of conversations between Comrade Zeng Jianhui and parliamentarians and political figures from various countries during his tenure on the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Ninth National People's Congress (March 1998–March 2003). Through these conversations, one can gain insight into the recent history, content, and achievements of China's parliamentary diplomacy. Many of the dialogues in the book feature speeches by Comrade Zeng Jianhui on behalf of the Chinese side, as well as responses from foreign counterparts, creating vivid and dynamic exchanges. Some conversations vividly depict the confrontational atmosphere between the two sides, making the reader feel as if they are witnessing the scene firsthand. From these conversations, one can see Comrade Zeng Jianhui's firm stance, outstanding diplomatic skills, and publicity art in foreign interactions.
