Features: The content of The Great Encyclopedia of China includes various disciplines and fields such as philosophy, social sciences, literature and arts, culture and education, natural sciences, and engineering technology. It is preliminarily planned that the total number of volumes will be 80, with each volume containing approximately 1.2 to 1.5 million words. The plan is to complete it in about ten years. The number of volumes and the total word count of the Great Encyclopedia of China will exceed those of most general encyclopedias in foreign countries, but it will be comparable in length to the initial editions of some foreign encyclopedias. We intend to adjust and compress the content in the second edition. The Great Encyclopedia of China is published in subject-specific volumes without volume numbering. Each volume is labeled only with the subject name, such as Philosophy, Law, Mechanics, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, and so on. The content of each subject in the entire encyclopedia is written in the form of entries, with a planned total of about 100,000 entries. The entries in each discipline provide a detailed account and introduction to the fundamental knowledge of that discipline, making it suitable for readers with high school education or above, equivalent to university-level knowledge. This encyclopedic reference tool serves as a bridge and stepping stone for readers to enter and explore various disciplines in depth and breadth. The China Great Encyclopedia Press, in addition to editing and publishing The Great Encyclopedia of China, also plans to edit and publish comprehensive medium and small-scale encyclopedias and encyclopedic dictionaries. It will collaborate with specialized institutions to edit and publish various professional encyclopedias to meet the needs of different readers. This book is a collaborative effort by a team of legal scholars from across the country, providing a comprehensive introduction to the formulation and revision of important national laws. The entire book contains 1,484 entries and approximately 2.38 million words, covering all departments of legal studies.
