2. When reducing milk intake, the baby may become very attached to the mother’s milk. Therefore, it is best to start by reducing the daytime feeding. Since there are many distractions during the day, babies are less focused on their mothers. However, in the morning and evening, babies are particularly attached to their mothers and seek comfort through breastfeeding. Thus, weaning at night may be more challenging. Once the daytime feeding is eliminated, nighttime feedings can be gradually reduced until full weaning is achieved.
