Features: After decades of development, China's imaging medicine has achieved remarkable accomplishments in various aspects. However, nationwide, there is still a lack of a high-level, internationally competitive imaging medicine monograph. Therefore, it has become a major issue in the field of Chinese imaging medicine to publish a high-end reference book that summarizes the achievements of Chinese imaging medicine while reflecting the latest developments in international imaging medicine. In light of this, the People's Medical Publishing House has expressed strong support and entrusted us to organize national efforts to compile this Zhonghua Imaging Medicine.
This book is organized by systems, with a combined approach of systems and techniques. It is divided into 13 volumes: General Volume, Respiratory System Volume, Central Nervous System Volume, Cardiovascular System Volume, Digestive System Volume, Liver, Biliary, Pancreas, and Spleen Volume, Head and Neck Volume, Musculoskeletal System Volume, Urogenital System Volume, Breast Volume, Interventional Radiology Volume, Nuclear Medicine Imaging Volume, and Ultrasound Diagnostics Volume. Each volume is published independently and sequentially.
The guiding principle for the composition of the authors is to have senior experts provide oversight, mid-career experts take the lead, mobilize all positive factors, and unite national efforts. Therefore, all invited contributors to this book are distinguished scholars and experts with high academic levels and recognition in certain fields of imaging medicine.
This book primarily reflects the latest advancements in contemporary imaging medicine. For various imaging technologies, examination methods, new signs, new theories, and new treatment approaches that are currently or will be used in clinical practice, it provides detailed introductions based primarily on domestic data. For technologies and methods that have been phased out or are about to be abandoned, they are only briefly mentioned as part of the historical development.
When describing the imaging manifestations of diseases, attention is paid to the relationship between commonality and individuality, enabling readers to grasp the general principles of disease imaging. Based on common and frequently occurring diseases, the book also provides concise descriptions of rare and uncommon diseases, aiming to make it not only a standardized reference for imaging medicine but also a dictionary-like resource, enhancing its practicality.
The book strives for concise, clear, and fluent language, with a well-structured and logical hierarchy. Terminology should be standardized, ensuring consistency and avoiding colloquialism to enhance readability. In summary, we aim to make this book scientifically rigorous, advanced, authoritative, and practical, transforming it into a high-level, high-quality, and comprehensive reference book for imaging medicine.
