Features: Zero emission is an important approach to advancing the circular economy and promoting sustainable development, representing an ideal state in post-industrial society. Developed countries such as Japan, Germany, and the United States have already implemented zero emission practices in numerous industrial sectors, including brewing, metallurgy, thermal power generation, textiles, papermaking, chemical industry, and automobile manufacturing. China has also conducted explorations in zero emission in some industries. This book is divided into three parts, totaling nine chapters, with three appendices.
Part 1 consists of four chapters, introducing the fundamental theories of zero emission, including the origin and development of zero emission, the principles of zero emission, methods for achieving zero emission, and atom economy.
Part 2 consists of three chapters, introducing zero emission practices in typical industries (including the metallurgical industry, papermaking industry, and thermal power plants).
Part 3 consists of two chapters, introducing domestic and international case studies of zero emission practices in eco-industrial systems. The appendices provide a list of clean production technologies for typical industries, a selection of national key environmental protection practical technologies, and an introduction to the zero emission practices of a gold smelting enterprise.
This book is suitable for reference by departments such as environmental management and park management, as well as management personnel and researchers in relevant industrial sectors. It can also serve as a teaching material for environmental science and sustainable development courses in colleges and universities.
