How to deal with little milk when the breast is pressed during sleep during lactation

Patient's question:

Breastfeeding while sleeping with the breast compressed, now one breast has very little milk, what should I do?

Doctor's answer:

Excessive eating after childbirth, in addition to further obesity on the basis of weight gain during pregnancy, offers no benefits for postpartum recovery. If you are breastfeeding your baby and have a plentiful milk supply, your food intake can increase slightly compared to pregnancy, with a maximum increase of 1/5. If your milk supply is just enough for your baby, maintaining the same intake as during pregnancy is also acceptable. If you have no milk or are not planning to breastfeed, your food intake can remain similar to that before pregnancy.
