Features: What kind of education is the current education system? Compulsory education, exam-oriented education, or elite education? Some argue that since the integration of Math Olympiads (including various forms of math competition and selection) and English proficiency tests into school and class selection, primary and secondary schools are evolving into a highly competitive education system with a strong emphasis on skill training, targeting exams, certifications, and competitions. The characteristics of competition involve strict selection, mass elimination, and filtering, with only a few entering key schools or experimental classes. Then, the school system ensures that experimental class students can advance to high school, and subsequently, the system ensures that top students can enter prestigious universities. This is the current educational reality being played out by schools, parents, and children.
Education aims to improve the quality of human life and should be considered an "human-centered" endeavor. This book closely follows this theme, presenting the following: Education must first prioritize "nurturing" and place students' physical well-being in a position. Any high scores achieved at the expense of adolescents' health are like "watered-down meat," ultimately harming the basic unit of society—humans. From a societal perspective, education must also be equal and fair. Any "teaching" that departs from "human-centeredness," no matter how popular or intense it may be on the surface, will inevitably harm our children!
This book, in the form of comics, reflects the difficult and almost cruel learning and "exams" of primary and secondary students under such an educational reality, through social hot topics such as the transition from elementary to middle school, school selection, and the annual battle for student enrollment. It echoes the cries of primary and secondary students: "Save us!"
