How to treat pelvic inflammatory disease

Patient's question:

Doctor,
I have a clear pelvic inflammation. Two days ago, I had microwave-TCM enema twice. After the first enema, I felt very comfortable, but after the second one, I felt very uncomfortable. I felt nauseous and also felt some discomfort in my rectum. What could be the reason for this? Shouldn’t I have the microwave treatment? The doctor said it’s harmless, but I’m not too sure. Is it really harmless to my body?
After the microwave treatment, the doctor prescribed an oral medication called Pen Yan Qing.
Could you give me some advice? Thank you!

Doctor's answer:

Hello:
Chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is primarily caused by factors such as infection after induced abortion, unclean sexual intercourse, and poor menstrual hygiene. Diagnosis can be made based on medical history, symptoms, and physical examination. In terms of treatment, single therapy for chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is often ineffective, and most cases require comprehensive treatment. Antibiotic therapy can be used, and in some cases, antibiotics are administered concurrently with dexamethasone. The oral dose of dexamethasone is 0.75 mg, taken three times daily. When discontinuing medication, it is important to gradually reduce the dosage. Alternatively, a-? protease 5 mg or hyaluronidase 1500 U can be administered intramuscularly, once every other day, with 7 to 10 doses constituting one course, to facilitate adhesion resolution and inflammation absorption. Additionally, topical treatments such as "Pain Clear," "Women's Comfort," and the external rinse "Clean & Fresh Solution" can be used.
"Pain Clear" primarily has the functions of clearing heat, promoting diuresis, regulating qi and resolving depression, invigorating blood circulation, and detoxifying, as well as softening and resolving hard masses. "Women's Comfort" has the effects of clearing heat and promoting diuresis, removing (excess internal heat), replenishing vital qi, and inhibiting the growth of various bacteria. Through these comprehensive treatments, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease can be cured.
