Features: I want to be sure, very sure, that every word in this book is my best contribution.—The advantage of The Prophet is that the author, in the pure and beautiful language of poetry, speaks of the profound and ordinary truths of life with a high realm and far-sighted vision. Translating it feels both easy and smooth, and one often cannot help but shed tears.—Iceberg
Kahlil Gibran was always a messenger of love and beauty in his life. Every word he wrote was like leftovers scattered from the banquet of the heart. The Prophet discusses important life propositions that everyone must face, such as love, marriage, children, freedom, pain, and joy. Every sentence strikes the eyes and settles in the heart. This book is accompanied by 30 original paintings by the author, mostly of the human form. Behind those mysterious forms, one can perceive the spiritual essence of life's beginning and savor the eternal beauty of the human spirit. In this mortal world, we can also refine our souls through the words and paintings in this book, reaching the shore of a happy life.
