Patient's question:
Hello Doctor: Could you please tell me what could be the reason for my wife's menstrual cycle being delayed by half a month and not coming yet? She is not pregnant. What could be the reason?Doctor's answer:
Hello: Please note the following:1. Maintain a positive mood and avoid mental stress or emotional fluctuations. Some individuals may experience lower abdominal bloating, back pain, breast tenderness, mild diarrhea, fatigue, drowsiness, emotional instability, irritability, or tendency toward depression during their menstrual period. These symptoms are normal and there is no need to be overly anxious.
2. Underwear should be soft, made of cotton, and have good ventilation. Wash and change it frequently, and ensure the underwear is dried in the sun.
3. Avoid cold, sour, spicy, or other foods. Drink plenty of warm water to keep bowel movements regular. Those with blood heat should eat more fresh fruits and vegetables before their period and avoid stimulating foods like garlic, onions, leeks, and ginger. Those with poor blood circulation should increase their nutrition regularly, such as milk, eggs, soy milk, pork liver, spinach, pork, chicken, and lamb, while avoiding cold fruits and vegetables.
If your period still hasn’t arrived after making these adjustments, it is recommended to see a doctor.
