Line expression

Features: In this book, I adopt a combination of line drawing and sketching techniques. I believe this method is particularly useful for students of art and design. The reason is that sketching techniques often use overly simple lines, capturing only basic impressions. Pure line drawing, on the other hand, can be too artistic or overly meticulous and rigid, making it unsuitable for the creative expression of students in art and design. Therefore, when using this technique, I always pay attention to its performance, ensuring the strokes are not too fast (which would appear slick) or too slow (which would seem stiff). I strive for even pressure, smooth, and fluid lines. In depicting spatial depth, I primarily rely on contrast techniques such as the (), (), (), (), (), (), and (). These contradictions and contrasts are used to convey the sense of space, while also ensuring the harmony between the beauty of the lines and the beauty of the shapes. Additionally, I include some comments and reflections on each page for reference. The publication of this book mainly aims to help students of art and design understand that consistent basic training, accumulated over time, is equally important and indispensable for every creative designer and for those studying (). If one day you can freely sketch any idea or create small sketches for design concepts, how wonderful that would be!
