Features: The Center for the Study of Foreign Family Law and Women's Theory was established in April 2005 at Southwest University of Political Science and Law. It is China's academic institution specializing in the study of foreign family law, and the current director is Professor Chen Wei, a doctoral supervisor at the School of Civil and Commercial Law at Southwest University of Political Science and Law. The main tasks of this "research center" are: to collaborate with experts and scholars both within and outside the university, as well as personnel from the Women's Federation and judicial practice departments, to focus on researching theoretical and practical issues in foreign and Chinese marriage, family, inheritance, and women and children's fields. It will also offer suggestions to legislative bodies for revising laws related to marriage, family, inheritance, and the protection of the rights and interests of women, children, and the elderly, while providing legal consulting services to judicial practice to achieve a healthy interaction between academic research, legislation, and the judiciary, thereby promoting academic research and academic exchange between China and foreign countries. [Legislative Issues] This section includes four articles. On the Infringement of Women's Physical Rights by Sexual Harassment and Legal Rules, A Review of the Current "Marriage Law" Article 33, Anti-Employment Gender Discrimination and Legal Countermeasures, and Grandparents Should Have the Right to Visit Grandchildren. [Foreign Laws] This section includes four articles. Research on Family Property Relations in the UK, Reform of Intestate Succession Law in Canada and Its Implications, Analysis of the Subjective Nature of the Family in Ancient Roman Law, and A Look at the Social Status of Ancient Indian Women from the "Manusmriti." [Doctoral Forum] This section includes five articles. [Excerpts from Master's Theses] This section includes eight master's theses. The authors explore hot topics in the field of family law from different perspectives. On the protection of children's rights, there are "A Comparative Study of the Legislation and Judicial Practice of Child Rights Protection in China and the UK" and "On the Reconstruction of the Legal Status of Illegitimate Children." On the system of spousal debts, there are "Research on the Spousal Debt System" and "Thoughts on Improving the Legislation on Spousal Property Infringement in China." On the divorce support system, there is "On the Development Trends of the Divorce Support System." On the study of non-marital cohabitation, there is "Research on the Legal Regulation of Non-Marital Cohabitation," etc.
