Features: The author served as a senior Spanish interpreter for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the 1960s and 1980s, he had the privilege of working as an interpreter for the great leaders of that era, including Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Deng Xiaoping. Over a span of 40 years in diplomacy, the author initially worked in (people-to-people diplomacy), hosting over 100 delegations from friendly organizations and individuals from Latin American countries such as Chile, Mexico, Peru, and Brazil. He accompanied various Chinese delegations on visits to 12 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, participating in the important process of establishing and developing relations between China and Latin American nations. Later, in the official diplomatic sector, he became the only ambassador in the history of Chinese diplomacy to work for three and a half years in the highland nation of Bolivia, located on the other side of the world. He was awarded the "Grand Cross of the Condor" by the Bolivian government and the "Special Honor Medal" by the Bolivian military. He participated in a series of important international conferences, met with many leaders of Latin American countries, and was involved in efforts to restore China's legal status at the International Olympic Committee and Beijing's two bids for the Olympic Games. He also had the opportunity to meet the legendary figure Che Guevara in the 20th century.
