Since its publication by the Olympic Press, it has stood out uniquely and is deeply loved by teachers, parents, and students. After significant revisions, re-editions, or complete rewrites, it has been renamed as "Gold Medal Olympiads" and "Gold Medal Schools," and is now re-published and distributed by Jinghua Publishing House. At this re-publication, sincere gratitude is extended to millions of readers across the country.
Subject Olympiads (shortened as "Subject Olympiads") are a primary and secondary school subject competition activity in China that covers the widest scope, attracts the largest number of participants, and has the greatest influence. Subject Olympiads are derived from the International Mathematical Olympiad (shortened as IMO), the International Physics Olympiad (shortened as IPHO), the International Chemistry Olympiad (shortened as ICHO), and other internationally influential middle school subject competitions that attract millions of young students every year. The reason for such widespread attention lies in the strong innovation, flexibility, and comprehensiveness of Olympiads, as well as their focus on cultivating students' exploration skills and inspiring their innovative awareness. These are precisely the core elements of quality education, which are also essential for future development.
Based on years of careful study of this activity both domestically and internationally, as well as a large number of outstanding books in this category, the Editorial Department of Primary and Secondary School Subject Olympiads has invited outstanding educators from all over the country dedicated to this field to compile and publish a series of books on mathematics, Chinese, English, physics, chemistry, biology, and information technology—comprising over 200 varieties. In terms of the variety, quantity, and quality of our subject Olympiad books, they are considered the most influential among peers both domestically and internationally and hold the greatest charm in the hearts of primary and secondary school teachers and students.
